Nearly 6,000 visitors consisting of high school students, postgraduate students, teachers, parents, job seekers and those seeking professional development made the effort to attend the 2008 Gold Coast Careers Expo at the Carrara Indoor Stadium.
The assortment among those in attendance was one of many features that exhibitors were pleased to discover according to Andrew Pevats, Manager of Employment and Recruitment at the Australian Technical College.
“ The positive aspects of the event included a good variety of attendees over two days, the flow of display booths working well and the schools’ participation being well organized with genuine interest,” said Mr.Pevats.
From providing fresh new hairstyles to creating horror movie makeup, 85 exhibitors stepped up to make the most of those looking for the latest information on further studies, training information and career prospects.
Next year we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gold Coast Careers Expo.
